Consultant – RN Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) – Nationwide

The Claro Group is a well-established privately held consulting firm with a team of professionals that have been providing CDI services for over 18 years with over 500 hospitals across the country. Currently searching for a CDI Manager that would join a team-based environment and be responsible for CDI engagement delivery, education and training, and client support. They are continuously engaged in the process of taking a fresh look at CDI services and enhancing their services to clients, given the tremendous changes already underway and coming up (ICD-10, Value Based Purchasing, Computer Assisted Coding, etc.) to ensure that they are positioning their clients well for these changes.
Responsibilities:
Candidate would be responsible for CDI engagement delivery, education and training, chart reviews and audits, and client support. Involvement in overall client interaction and satisfaction. Partner with clients in all phases of CDI engagements to assist them to succeed. Participate in multiple engagements with strong project management skills and time management required. Must have deep understanding and knowledge of clinical documentation improvement services with prior training experience strongly preferred. Great benefit package and bonus incentives. Position requires travel to client sites and regional/national conferences.
Qualifications:
• Clinical credential: RN preferred
• BSN, BA, MBA, MA or MS from an accredited college/university is desired
• Three or more years of experience in a consulting/professional services setting or healthcare setting with focus on documentation improvement and relative issues is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and be resourceful
• Demonstrated ability for developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders and/or clients
• Experience/knowledge of regulatory compliance issues facing the healthcare industry is a plus
• Ability to travel regularly for project assignments is required
